SCANA Energy will perform a credit check to determine eligibility for service and any deposit requirement. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email from SCANA Energy confirming your order is complete. If your order requires a deposit, your confirmation email will indicate if a deposit is required as well as the amount of the deposit. The deposit will appear on your first bill from SCANA Energy.
Your service will be switched to SCANA Energy depending on the date that you place your order for service. If processed before the 20th of the month, the switch request will become effective on the first day of the next month. If processed on or after the 20th of the month, your switch request will become effective on the first day of the subsequent month. A $7.50 fee may be assessed by Atlanta Gas Light if you switch providers more than once per year.
New Service Request
There is a one time connection fee of $60 for Atlanta Gas Light to connect your service. If the meter has been removed from the location, the connection fee is $75. The connection fee is billed on the first bill. All start dates are subject to Atlanta Gas Light's schedule
