SCANA Energy will check your eligibility for service and verify your identity with a soft credit check. This inquiry will not affect your credit score. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email from SCANA Energy with any deposit requirement and to confirm your order is complete.
Your service will be switched to SCANA Energy depending on the date that you place your order for service. If processed before the 20th of the month, the switch request will become effective on the first day of the next month. If processed on or after the 20th of the month, your switch request will become effective on the first day of the subsequent month. A $7.50 fee may be assessed by Atlanta Gas Light if you switch providers more than once per year.
There is a one-time connection fee to set up service. The connection fee varies from $60 to $95, depending on whether the meter is present, and time of year for seasonal reconnections. The connection fee is billed on the first bill. All start dates are subject to Atlanta Gas Light's schedule.
