Before you simply guess
- This number is often printed on your gas bill once or twice a year.
- You can contact your gas utility and ask for a usage history.
- The average volume for a residential home in Ontario is 3500 m3/year
- The average volume for a residential home in Alberta and Manitoba is 4000 m3/year, which is 150 GJ/year.
- The average volume for a residential home in Maryland is 2500 m3/year, which is 900 therms, or 890 ccf.
