Before you simply guess

• This number is often printed on your gas bill once or twice a year.
• You can contact your gas utility and ask for a usage history.
• The average volume for a residential home in Ontario is 3500 m³/year
• The average volume for a residential home in Alberta and Manitoba is 4000 m³/year, which is 150 GJ/year.
• The average volume for a residential home in Maryland is 2500 m³/year, which is 900 therms, or 890 ccf.
