Spring 2007 Conservation Bureau Coupon Program - Customer Opt-Out
Our Completed CDM Programs:
With over 40 combined years of Energy Management program planning, design and implementation, the Energyshop team has developed a strong and creative business model to both develop and manage CDM programs for our clients.
Mass Market:
Energyshop was the first to re-introduce and implement a CDM program for the Mass Market segment in 2005 for 33 utilities, including the Coalition of Large Distributors (CLD) group in Ontario. Over 2.4 million customers were targeted across Ontario and the campaign achieved 957 summer kW and over 4000 winter kW demand savings. It was an extremely cost effective program with a total cost (net of incentives) of $270K and a TRC ratio of $9 in benefit for every $1 spent.
In the spring of 2006, the Ontario Power Authority introduced the Every Kilowatt Counts program. Energyshop was selected to provide external management services starting with the fall 2006 program. In this capacity, Energyshop has continued to introduce an innovative approach to each campaign by leveraging relationships with participating retailers; introducing cost saving measures and focussing on products that directly impact summer kW peak. Energyshop continues to apply their successful management methodology to the 2008 EKC program.
Residential:
Refrigerator Pilot: In 2006, Energyshop worked with the OPA to design and manage a refrigerator retirement pilot program in six major sites across the province. The design of the pilot was to test both incentive levels and degrees of marketing to determine the market dynamics for a province wide program. Feedback loops were created to identify lessons learned and the success of this pilot has led to the development and roll out of a province wide program. In conjunction with the pilot, Energyshop worked with 6 members of the NEPA group to deliver a similar program that far exceeded original program targets.
Water Heater Tune up Program: In 2006, Energyshop designed and managed a water heater tune up program for Veridian Connections. The 2 year program wrapped over 1100 electric water heaters throughout the LDC's 4 major centres. Originally the program was targeted toward low income customers and was then expanded to all electric water heater customers. In total, over 69 and 235 kW demand savings (summer and winter respectively) were achieved.
Small Commercial:
In 2006 Energyshop developed and promoted the "Shelve the Twelve" Small Commercial Fluorescent Fixture Change-out program that led to the OPA's Small Commercial Direct Install Pilot in 2007. For the pilot, Energyshop was responsible for the development and delivery of the direct sales and installation components and supported the OPA in the design phase of the soon-to-be-released province wide program. Through this process, Energyshop has established relationships with installation contractors across the province and has refined the sales process and back office operations to support LDCs with the roll out of this program in 2008.
LDC Driven Programs:
In 2007, Energyshop brought their program knowledge and expertise to support 5 LDC's to manage their OPA based program initiatives.
Programs included:
The Great Refrigerator Round-up
Summer Savings
Peak Saver; and the,
Energy Retrofit Incentive Program
